The history of Ferguson and the Yadkin Valley comes to life at this recurring celebration of Daniel Boone and his time in the Yadkin Valley. Native American Cindy Davis will have a display and talk about the native Americans in our area. Author Bob Plott will talk about his family’s bear hunting dogs “Plott Hounds”. Historian Jill Privott will speak about the Language of fans in early America.
Musicians performing will be the Internationally acclaimed folks singer, Rob McHale; Bob and Roberta Kogut; Judy Triplett and the Wilkes Record Players; Bob Henson and Friends; RG Absher; Jack Thompson and Friends.
Plenty of fun for kids too. Children are free up to 2nd grade. A magic show will be performed by Ashville magician Wendell Wandel, There will also be an art tent and a petting zoo. There will be Scottish contests, videos on Daniel Boone and also on the Battle of Kings Mountain, and much more. Food is available for purchase. Wear your kilts or buckskins and come out for a great time. Admission: $10.00 per person, parking is free.

Vendors will be present with items for sale: Scottish cosies; jewelry; pottery; handcrafted soaps; handmade knives; books and more.
Food will be available for purchase at the picnic shelter.
Admission: $10.00 per person. Children up to 2nd grade are free. Parking is free.
